    Description

    GENUINE AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL HARDWOOD WOOMERA.
    This is not a tourist piece, 100% genuine authentic vintage Aboriginal, part of a collection recently purchased. Previous owner was advised it dated to the early 1900s, but cannot confirm or deny this. Measures 57cms long and weighs approx 300 grams. The base / handle has several basic / simple criss cross XXXX carvings (3rd photo). The middle of the club has numerous very tiny striations / linear marks, they appear to be man made, not natural (4th & 5th photo’s). The tip of the Woomera has lost its tar / glue on one side, see 6th photo. The is also some wood loss to the handle, see the last 2 photo’s, this is natural aging. The Woomera is far better than depicted in the photo’s, the patina on the wood is superb.
