  • Condition: WWII Binoculars by Spencer Lens Co. & Waterproof Hood carry case. Objects viewed through lenses are very sharp and clear, with no cloudy spots or haze. No visible cracks or scratches in glass. Some areas loss of black paint on some metal surfaces of the binocular, primaraly front lens cover rims. Rubberized carrying case made by Hood is in nice condition. Lights signs of wear on binoculars and case. Eye level control hinge is a little stiff, but woks fine.

    Binocular glass looks clean and clear.
    Object viewed through binocular is sharp and clear, no cloudy spots or haze. No visible cracks or scratches in glass.
    Some areas of worn off black paint on metal of the binocular, primarily front lens rims.
    Eye distance adjustment hinge is a little stiff, but works fine. Diopter adjustment rings on both left and right move freely.  Binoculars have Naval marking and manufacturers description serial No. and date, all marks are stamped and embossed very clearly (See photo)
    Binocular has complete neck strap in good condition marked HOOD.

    Hood carry case complete, clean in good condition, with all straps.
    The rubberized carrying case is clean, undamaged and stamped HOOD on bottom. *Please note: closure end of case strap, the 'buttonhole' for closing shows signs of age wear but remains still fully functional (see photo). Case contains a pair of glare reduction filters (see photos) that appear unused and still wrapped in  tissue paper stored inside a compartment in the lid of the case.
