    Description

    Red Case Carlisle Dressing
    Original WW2 GI Carlisle field first aid dressing, reddish-orange painted tin plated stamped steel construction with metal pull strip on edges. Mfg by BAUER & BLACK, Div. Of Kendall Co., Chicago. Upon the introduction of crystalline sulfanilamide as a component of these dressings, many of the dressings in use were recalled, repacked with the sulfanilamide packet, and painted reddish-orange or red to indicate the change. Small nick to paint on pull strip at right side, otherwise no dents, paint wear, rust, or other damage. Much harder to find than the standard OD green painted version and is in excellent condition.
