This Vintage Mulga Wood Boomerang is from Australia and

Primarily grows in inland Western Australia mulga shrublands and in Queensland.
The Mulga roots are what boomerangs are made from and the ends can chip from a returning boomerang hitting the ground.
The word is derived from an Aboriginal name for a shield from the tree.
The Mulga wood carvings are done by using a stone.
