USAAF Aviator's Kit Bag WW2 WWII AN 6505-1 ORIGINAL

Description

In really good condition except for one blemish, this WW2 USAAF Aviator's Kit Bag, AN 6505-1 is very presentable for your display of WW2 flight gear.  That one blemish appears to be because of a rodent's appetite and is about 2.5" long.   The rest of the bag, the brass zipper, the snaps and the rest of the heavy duty canvas all seem to be in very nice condition.  Sometime either during the war or maybe after, SGT Kendel wrote his name on the side of the bag and on the top flap.  Just visible enough to make you wonder who SGT Kendel was but not noticeable enough to detract from the bag.  Still very usable for camping or carrying your pilot gear to the plane for your trips to the "wild blue yonder."
It could use a good washing to remove the dirt and grime from years of storage and would look even better.
