For sale is an authentic, original, hand-painted aboriginal art piece purchased by me directly from the artist on a trip I made to Australia in 1995. It is signed and dated and below is a summary of this incredible piece:
The artist is Elizabeth Djandilnga of the Northern Territory. As part of the provenance of this art, I received an information page from Ms. Djandilnga detailing her background and art history. For example, her family group is Day'Gurrgurr of the Gupapuyngu clan and she was born in 1953. The information page is on the back of the picture under plexi-glass.
Current information found on the web states: "Elizabeth Djandilnga-Thorn is an accomplished artist in both traditional and contemporary art. She has a Bachelor of Education from Canberra University, and is currently teaching at Galiwin'ku, Elcho Island, her home community. Batchelor College, in Darwin. NT, employed Elizabeth in 1995 as the first Artist in Residence and special guest speaker to students and staff. Elizabeth has recently co-authored a book, with Alex Barlow, about her people "Yolngu of the Island Galiwin'ku" which won an award for excellence."
The name of the art piece is "BURALA - Diving Birds" and portrays two birds and two fish painted in colors of gold, reddish-brown, black and white.  The artist provided me with a hand-written story explaining the art piece and how it relates to her Aboriginal culture. It's a wonderful story about birds looking for fish in a billabong. This hand-written piece is also on the back of the frame.
This is not a professionally-framed piece. Heck, after that trip, I couldn't afford it but wanted to hang it ASAP, so, I framed it myself. Below is some additional information:
The hand-made wood frame is approximately 20 1/4" long x 15 3/16" tall x 1 3/8" deep. It is rather crudely put together and the nails show at the corners.  There are some nicks and scratches on the wood.
The art work is 8 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" tall.
The matting is a reddish brown. I cut out the 3 openings with a razor blade knife and you can tell it is not a professional job.
The information on the front about the "BURALA Diving Birds", I just typed word-for-word from the hand-written information given to me from the artist and I incorporated the date of my trip also.
Plexi-glass is on both the front and the back.
While you may want to have this professionally reframed, the art work, and the two pieces of provenance from the artist (Artist History and Story of the Art Piece) are all in excellent condition because they were immediately framed and protected upon return from my trip. I displayed this piece in my home proudly for many years and it always brought me great pleasure. Unfortunately, I no longer have the space and I'm hoping to find it a new home.

How Shipped
: All purchases are packed with care to ensure they arrive to you safely.  Most of our items will ship via United States Postal Service (USPS).  Some items may ship via United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express or Freight depending upon which service is the most cost-effective for the specific item.
Where Shipped
:  We offer domestic shipping within the United States and territories of the U. S., unless other arrangements have been made in advance.  Please provide a physical address as we do not ship to P.O. boxes.  If arrangements are made for shipping to other than the U.S. or its territories, those buyers will be responsible for any and all import fees, duties, taxes, etc., as applicable.
When Shipped
:  Items will usually ship within one (1) business day of receiving cleared payment.  The term business day excludes weekends and holidays. For example, if you pay for an item on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, your item will generally be shipped on Monday.
Packages are usually delivered within a reasonable time by the Carrier.  Of course, sometimes there are delays due to weather, high-volume seasons (like Christmas), and sometimes for no apparent reason. Delivery from our location in Florida to locations like Hawaii, Alaska and U.S. territories may take longer than within the continguous U.S.; so, please take that into consideration when making your purchase.  Please understand that once your purchase leaves our hands, we have no control over it.
Combined Shipping
:  Bidding on multiple auctions is sincerely appreciated and we will gladly combine shipping to save you money.  To qualify for combined shipping, the multiple wins must be paid for in a single payment/transaction; so, do NOT make payment until you are finished shopping.  Contact us to let us know you are still shopping and again when you have completed your shopping.  Please stay within the fourteen (14) calendar day time limit indicated under the "Terms of Sale" Section.  Once you notify us you have finished shopping, we will send an adjusted invoice reflecting combined shipping.
Even if you are bidding or purchasing multiple items with free shipping, please let us know so we can combine your purchases, if applicable, and add the appropriate insurance on the final total.
Unfortunately, if you make payment and then notify us you are still shopping, we cannot combine the shipping fees on your additional purchase(s).  We want to provide the best customer service possible and strive for a one business day handling time.  Therefore, as soon as payment is made, we initiate our shipping process and, as such, the shipping charges have already been incurred.

Returns and Refunds:
We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase; so, we offer a liberal  30 day money-back return policy. If you are not satisfied, you may return your item(s) within 30 days of posted receipt for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping and handling charges, if there were any.  Each item must be returned in the same condition as prior to the sale, with all original materials, parts, tags, etc., included in the return shipment.  The buyer pays for the return shipping.  If we made a blantant error or misrepresentation of the item, we will happily absorb both the front and back-end shipping costs.

We have been collectors of "stuff" for over 50 years and now it's time to start downsizing.  We are slowly working our way through a ridiculous amount of items acquired from auctions, garage sales, estate sales, flee markets and other forms of "picking" that we enjoyed so very much for so many years.   We are determined not to leave this odious task of downsizing to our children and will be offering a wide variety of items for sale on a continuous basis.
